To give you a better understanding of my situation: B2B LLC: This is a physical therapy service business owned by me and my wife (we are both licensed PTs). We filed Form 2553 to have it taxed as an S Corporation. Instead of receiving W-2 income from home health agencies, those agencies now pay our company, LLC, directly through a B2B arrangement. I want to know how much should we reasonably pay ourselves for salary to be compliant of IRS. DME Company: This is a durable medical equipment company, also structured as an LLC and elected to be taxed as an S Corporation. I own 67% of this business, and my partner owns the remaining 33%. The LLC is under both our names. Staffing Company: This business is also an LLC with S Corporation taxation. It is co-owned by three individuals: my wife owns 40%, and the two other partners each own 30%. It’s currently under my wife's name along with the two partners. Holding LLC: I created this as a holding company with the intention that it would own the other businesses mentioned above. I also elected it to be taxed as an S Corporation. However, I recently learned that S Corporations cannot be owned by other S Corporations, which presents a potential issue for my original plan.
