This project builds upon concepts from a prior academic exercise focused on structural systems and load paths. However, instead of analyzing existing buildings, this assignment requires preparing a structural model and drawing set based on an original studio design. I have already developed the architectural design and floor plans in Rhino, which I will provide along with a screenshot of the project and the full grading rubric. Your task will be to develop a complete and coherent structural system that aligns with the spatial and design intentions of the project, considering aspects such as material selection, spacing, and load transfer. What I need from you: Refine or replace the existing placeholder ("bs") columns in the Rhino model with a thoughtfully developed structural system. Produce a complete Rhino model with the new structural system integrated. Provide basic framing plans that I can post-process for presentation. Create a clear and representative diagram (or set of diagrams) to illustrate the load path of the structure. These can be sectional, exploded, or any other format that clearly communicates the structural strategy. Deliverables: Updated Rhino model with complete structure Base framing plans (PDF and/or Rhino layout) Load path diagram(s) in a clear and legible format You are free to choose the structural materials and systems that best support the design.
