We are looking for a skilled and experienced documentary film editor to refine and enhance an existing short documentary. The current cut is near completion, but we need to address some NEW issues that the film addresses and bring it up to date. And incorporate aprox. 2 to 3 minutes of a NEW interview (yet to be done) while maintaining a total runtime of 25 minutes. It's current runtime. There are also minor changes to be made - repetitions mostly. Project Scope: Re-edit the film to better highlight key issues currently missing from the cut Integrate a new interview seamlessly into the existing structure Ensure a compelling narrative flow, maintaining emotional impact and clarity Optimize pacing while keeping the final film at 25 minutes Color correction, sound mixing, and finishing touches as needed Ideal Candidate: Proven experience in documentary film editing (please provide samples and resume). Strong storytelling skills and ability to shape narratives effectively Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Avid, Final Cut. Ability to collaborate and take creative direction Experience with social impact or environmental documentaries is a plus Project Timeline: We are looking for a fast turnaround and prefer to complete this re-edit within [insert timeframe, e.g., 4-6 weeks].
