Solutions Architect Location: Reston, VA (Remote, Once a month in the office) Duration: 12 months + Type: C2C Pay Rate: $55-$70/hr Project Overview: We are looking for a Solution Architect to join a larger Fintech Company to contribute to building and translating requirements from functional analysts into business architecture. Ideal candidate “Business/Technical” knowledge distribution is “ 6/4” meaning the candidate is more Business/Financial focused but still has a strong Tech foundation. Description/Requirements: - Note: Financial knowledge is required for this role. Experience in FP&A or working in mortgage servicing/origination would be a big plus. - Translate requirements created by functional analysts into business architecture/documentation that will provide context supporting the technical design/blueprint for the solution. - Communicate and describe the solution through architecture and design artifacts. - Ensure the solution aligns with any roadmaps established by associated business and technical stakeholders. - Drives alignment and buy-in across the development and business teams. - Gather product requirements from customers. - Evaluate, and when necessary prototype, alternative solutions to determine the most appropriate approach for each solution. - Draft business cases(s) and/or value propositions to support each solution - Prepare functional specifications that can be understood by customers and internal development teams. - Transition finished projects to support groups. - Develop and maintain business process flows (familiarity with process flows for financial services companies, and business process flow tools such as ARIS, HOPEX, VISIO preferred) - Solid business architecture skills (e.g., system context, asset decomposition). - Technical expertise, especially with AWS (they use AWS 97% of the time). Familiarity with AWS services like EMR, Glue, S3, and SQS is important. - Familiarity with Vision and Rx is a bonus but not required. - Good soft skills to effectively work with tech partners. - Education: Bachelor’s degree Post-graduate degree desired - Professional certification(s) desired - Experience: 10-15+ years of progressive experience with an emphasis on financial services software system applications, design, development and inter-connectivity - Additional Details: Location: Remote role (US candidates only), but local to Reston, VA candidates are preferable. Has to come to the Once in Reston at least once a month. Length: 12+ months.
