PDQ Equipment is a premier construction equipment company based in Southern California. We’ve been an industry leader since 1952, proudly offering sales, rentals, and service of high-quality construction and industrial equipment. As we continue expanding and modernizing — our brand needs to evolve with us and this includes a much-needed logo redesign that better represents our current direction. Our current logo feels outdated and cluttered, especially with the inclusion of the word “Equipment” in small text that's unreadable from a distance. While we’ve explored some concepts with another agency, their approach, while modern, lacked impact and felt incomplete—it leaned too far into minimalism, with simple typography and a backward-facing brand marker arrow that raised concerns about how the brand might be perceived. However, the color scheme of this "Minimalist Logo" is 100% in line of what we want to stay with. We’re now looking for a fresh, bold, and modern logo that: - Reflects our construction roots but signals growth, innovation, and a forward-thinking direction - Uses the color scheme: Orange, Black, and White - Features a custom brand marker/icon that can stand alone without text (Think Nike’s Swoosh or Taco Bell’s bell) - Avoids overly generic fonts or design solutions - Feels solid, unique, and scalable across digital and physical assets (equipment, signs, social media, apparel, etc.) What We Liked About Previous Designs: We appreciated the sleek modern aesthetic and color direction used by the previous agency. The orange and black combo worked well and felt aligned with our industry and brand. However, the brand marker they proposed—an arrow pointing backwards—didn’t inspire the right tone, and the type treatment was too generic to stand out in our competitive space.
