Position Title: Digital Content and Publishing Manager Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Digital Content and Publishing Manager to enhance the digital presence and distribution of “How Cara Lost Her Color.” This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in digital publishing and a passion for innovative e-reader technologies and effective book marketing. Responsibilities: • Digital Formatting and Distribution: Convert and format the book for various digital platforms, including e-readers and educational apps, ensuring compatibility and accessibility. • E-Reader Illustrations and Animations: Develop and integrate animated illustrations for e-reader versions to enhance interactivity and engagement. • Marketing and Partnerships: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the book across various channels, including direct-to-consumer platforms. Establish and maintain partnerships with local distributors such as Island Heritage to enhance local market penetration. • Educational Outreach: Focus on integrating the book into digital collections of schools and libraries, enhancing its use as an educational tool. • Platform Management: Ensure the book’s presence on relevant digital platforms, including the Libby app, to maximize accessibility and readership. Qualifications: • Proven experience in digital publishing, with a strong understanding of eBook formats, digital conversion, and distribution. • Experience in developing and marketing digital content for both consumer and educational markets. • Skilled in creating and managing animated illustrations for digital publications. • Strong project management skills and the ability to forge productive partnerships. • Background in handling accounts with major book industry players like Amazon, Ingram, Baker & Taylor, etc. • Passion for environmental education and a commitment to promoting conservation through innovative digital media. “How Cara Lost Her Color” is an inspirational children’s book that dives deep into the heart of our ocean’s ecosystems.
