I need help getting my data to persist across my web app. I am a graduate student environmental economics researcher that has learned to make a basic web app for an experiment/survey because I have to embed youtube videos (that I don't own) in a way that adjusts the presentation, such as preventing users from pausing the video and making the video start and stop automatically, and qualtrics does not seem capable of such things. Coding everything through flask and heroku has been doable except for saving all the data inputted. I thought Redis would ensure my data is persisting, but I still can't get my data to persist (I am saving it in Google drive at the end). I tried used PostreSQL via heroku and had a similar problem--data saves but the session doesn't seem to persist between pages. I think it might have something to do with the unusual handling of the youtube videos? The data will only end up being 600 rows at the maximum (with max 20 people taking the survey at a time). I imagine it shouldn't be more than 3 hours max to figure out.
