Penguin Logo for Non-Profit

We have recently started a non-profit foundation in order to fundraise money for the rebuilding of our community swimming pool. We'd like to create a new logo for the foundation so it has its own identity apart from the pool, but we'd like to borrow slightly from the pool's logo so there's some continuity. The pool's logo/mascot is a penguin, but admittedly, it's a bit "angry" looking (used for its swim/dive team), for fundraising, so we'd like to find someone who can soften this penguin's look or start over with a new penguin that looks more friendly for fundraising. We also need to add some text with our foundation name and our tagline to the design. We are looking to keep costs in check for this since we are using donated funds, so hoping to stay at or below $250 for the initiative. Looking forward to hearing from you!
