Architectural Services for Commercial Facade Projects


We are seeking proposals from qualified architectural professionals or firms to provide design and construction documentation services for a CDBG-funded commercial façade improvement project in Los Angeles. The project includes six (6) storefronts and aims to enhance building exteriors while addressing accessibility, code compliance, and aesthetic upgrades. This is a federally funded project and subject to all applicable regulations. ________________________________________ Scope of Work. Working in collaboration with the Lead Architect, selected consultant(s) will be responsible for: • Create as-built drawings based on surveys/on-site documentation • Identify existing deficiencies and accessibility issues and document in a Needs Assessment. • Recommend improvements based on code, aesthetics, and budget constraints • Develop design drawings, including permit-ready construction documents • Prepare cost estimates and final scope of work suitable for contractor bidding ________________________________________ Timeline • Anticipated Start Date: June 1, 2025 • Anticipated Completion Date: October 1, 2025 • Consultants must be able to meet mutually agreed-upon project milestones and maintain timely communication throughout. ________________________________________ Required Qualifications • Demonstrated experience in architectural design and construction documentation (minimum 5–10 years preferred) • Familiarity with California Building Codes • Licensed Architect (preferred but not required) • Ability to produce documents using provided drawing templates (Revit preferred) • Consultant must provide their own software and equipment ________________________________________ Proposal Requirements We are requesting a lump sum fixed-fee proposal for the complete scope of work. Proposals must include: • A fixed fee proposal inclusive of all services, software, travel, and overhead. A task-based fee breakdown and exclusions are optional but encouraged. • Summary of relevant qualifications and examples of similar projects. ________________________________________ Evaluation Criteria Proposals will be evaluated based on: • Relevant Experience (60%) Demonstrated ability to perform the work described, including past projects with similar scope or context. • Cost Proposal (40%) Competitiveness and value of proposed fixed fee.
