Job Description: Seeking an experienced fiduciary accountant or bookkeeper proficient in fiduciary accounting for an estate bookkeeping project. You will manage bookkeeping tasks from October 2020 to present, involving three separate accounts with fewer than 200 transactions per year combined. Responsibilities: Suggest software then set up and manage bookkeeping in appropriate fiduciary accounting software. Import and reconcile data directly from bank statements and original transaction sources. Ensure comprehensive, accurate, and confidential record-keeping. Provide clear, detailed reporting suitable for fiduciary accounting purposes. Software Recommendations: You must recommend and utilize fiduciary accounting software capable of detailed reporting for estate management. Uncertain whether QuickBooks Online or Trust-specific accounting software would be best for this one-time estate project (as the estate is closing), but a suitable software will also be needed for ongoing trust transactions later on. Open to your professional suggestions for both scenarios. Provided Resources: A sample Excel spreadsheet covering one year of data will be provided as a reference. Note: This Excel sheet is for reference only; all bookkeeping must utilize data directly sourced from original bank statements and transaction records. (Please note: all transactions were generalized to "Name of transaction," and company names were changed as well for this posting.) Requirements: Proven experience with accounting/bookkeeping. Ability to suggest and proficiently use accounting software for this one time project and ongoing. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Excellent organizational and reporting skills. Timeline: Quick turnaround is highly preferred.
