We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Financial Operations Specialist to support our advertising agency’s financial processes, ensuring accuracy in revenue reporting and profitability analysis. This role will work closely with Project Management and Finance to align on monthly revenue reporting, track financial performance, and optimize operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities • Revenue Management & Reporting: • Assist in the preparation and alignment of monthly revenue reports, ensuring accuracy and consistency across departments. • Work closely with Finance to reconcile revenue recognition with project budgets and invoicing. • Support the development of financial forecasting models based on project pipeline and historical data. • Profitability & Operational Analysis: • Partner with Project Management to track project profitability, billable utilization, and staffing efficiency. • Analyze key financial metrics, identifying trends and areas for operational improvement. • Provide recommendations to optimize resource allocation and pricing strategies. • Collaboration & Process Improvement: • Serve as a bridge between Client Services, Finance, and Project Management to ensure financial alignment. • Assist in refining financial processes and tools to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy. • Support ad-hoc financial projects and reporting needs as requested by leadership. Qualifications • 3+ years of experience in financial operations, revenue reporting, or agency finance. • Experience working in an advertising, marketing, or consulting firm is preferred. • Strong understanding of agency financial models, including billable hours, project budgets, and revenue recognition. • Proficiency in Excel, financial reporting tools, and project management software (e.g., Workfront, Salesforce, or similar). • Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally. Position Details • Part-time role (15-20 hours per week, flexible schedule). • Remote or hybrid depending on location. • Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
