About the Project: The story takes place in a 6th-grade middle school, where four kids from four different cultural backgrounds form a tech club after school. Together, they solve digital mysteries, learn about cybersecurity, and stand up for their peers online and offline. We are looking for an illustrator or 2D animator who can bring these vibrant characters and school settings to life in a visual style similar to "Craig of the Creek" — fun, expressive, diverse, and energetic. What We Need: Character design for four lead characters and supporting cast Background illustrations (school, home, bus, tech lab, etc.) Cover art and internal illustrations for the first book (approx. 50 appox. images) Possibility of developing short animations or digital motion clips (optional) Ideal Skills: Experience with children's books, comics, or animation Strong portfolio with character-driven storytelling Ability to represent diverse cultural identities respectfully Familiarity with "Craig of the Creek" or similar styles (e.g., Steven Universe, The Proud Family) Comfortable collaborating on a long-term creative project Project Scope: Character concepts, sample pages, and book one illustrations.
