We are BioScentDx, a biotech company pioneering a novel, non-invasive, and highly accurate breast cancer screening method based on canine olfaction and VOC biomarker discovery. We are applying for an NIH Phase I grant to support feasibility studies focused on training dogs to detect breast cancer through exhaled breath condensate (EBC) and identifying the specific biomarkers responsible. We are seeking a qualified Principal Investigator (PI) with a strong background in breast cancer research and/or clinical practice, molecular biology, analytical chemistry, or cancer diagnostics. The ideal candidate will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team—including microchemists, clinicians, and canine trainers—and provide scientific oversight on study design and execution. Experience with NIH grants is preferred, and familiarity with biomarker discovery, VOC analysis, or mass spectrometry is a plus.
