Position: 3D Technical Consultant – Web-Based 3D Solutions (Three.js) The Role: We are seeking an experienced 3D Technical Consultant with deep expertise in Three.js, 3D modeling, and web-based 3D animation to guide our internal team through the technical challenges of ongoing projects. This role is advisory-focused, ideal for someone who excels at identifying architectural solutions, solving performance bottlenecks, and mentoring others in best practices for interactive 3D on the web. Responsibilities: -Act as a subject matter expert in web-based 3D development. -Advise our development team on best practices, architecture, and performance optimization for complex 3D scenes using Three.js. -Help troubleshoot and resolve rendering issues, animation logic, and integration challenges. -Recommend workflows and tooling for 3D asset integration. -Support team members in evaluating technical feasibility and refining feature scopes. Required Experience: -Extensive real-world experience with Three.js and other web-based 3D frameworks. -Deep understanding of 3D animation, scene composition, and performance optimization for the web. -Strong experience in 3D modeling workflows and asset pipelines (even if not producing assets directly). -Comfortable communicating technical concepts to both developers and non-technical stakeholders. -Prior consulting or mentorship experience. Nice to Have: -Experience working with medical imagery and anatomical models (e.g., DICOM, 3D scans, volumetric data). -Familiarity with integrating 3D content into modern web stacks (Vue, React, Vite, etc.).
