Hi there, I am currently considering opening a bar/restaurant/lounge in either Las Vegas or Miami. My goal is a venue with a "trendy" type of vibe, somewhat like a Nobu, Zuma, or Mila, or one of the Tao or Groot Hospitality venues. This would be my first foray into the hospitality industry, and thus I would like to consult someone who has had experience managing this type of venue (e.g. as a general manager, or some other high level role), broadly speaking and not necessarily in one of the aforementioned cities. I would like to discuss the entire process of starting and managing such a venue, and so topics of discussion may include finances, venue design/construction, hiring, risks, insurance, day-to-day operations, as well as any other topics you think would be of importance in such an endeavor.
