We are seeking an experienced Server Administrator with deep expertise in Active Directory, domain management, and server consolidation. Project Overview: We have a client currently running two servers, both acting as file servers. The environment has misconfigured domain naming, and our goal is to correct the domain setup, consolidate services, and clean up redundant shared folders. Key Objectives: Review and correct improper domain naming. Consolidate file shares and software roles from two servers into one. Decommission the secondary server once data and roles are migrated. Ensure Active Directory and domain membership are properly configured and functional. Remove or reassign any remaining shared folders on the network. Requirements: Proven experience with Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019/2022) Strong background in Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy Experience in server migrations and domain joining Ability to troubleshoot shared folder access and permissions Fluent in English with strong communication skills Preferred: Familiarity with mixed on-prem/cloud environments (e.g., Office 365/Azure AD Sync) Located in the U.S. or able to work during U.S. business hours This is a short-term project with the potential for follow-up work based on performance.
