Bookkeeper job description Manage all day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes, including A/P, A/R, record payroll, journal entries, bank and credit card reconciliations. Qualifications • Strong problem-solving skills and proven ability to organize and manage multiple priorities • Good communications skills, both written and verbal • Experience collaborating effectively with others, both internally and externally • Good time management skills, ability to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality • Proven ability to make complex and time-sensitive decisions in the best interests of the organization • Three years or more of prior bookkeeping experience • Proficiency with QuickBooks or other accounting software • Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets, word processing, and databases Responsibilities • Accounts Payable: Create and send purchase orders; enter bills from purchase order; enter bills direct and submit for approval for future check run. • Accounts Receivable: Create and send invoices; apply correct payment to open invoices • Weekly: Send Accounts Payable report every Friday for Executive Management to select bills to pay. • Month-End: reconciling bank and credit card accounts; payroll expenses to payroll reports • Year-End: Work with external CPA for income tax preparation
