We are seeking proposals for a simple fixed-price website design and implementation project based on WordPress. The website will be a public-facing informational site for an academic research center describing the work of four closely-related research laboratories. It will be a clean, modern and mobile friendly website that engages prospective research participants, collaborators, lab members and other important visitors. The website will highlight some recent research findings, publications and upcoming seminars. It will include a listing of our faculty and staff with a brief description of their work. The implementation will include a user-friendly content management system that allows our organization to maintain all the site content after the website is up and running. User-maintainable Search Engine Optimization (SEO) will also be implemented in the site. The project will include pre-loading some client-supplied page content, and copying some structured content from an existing website (such as bio’s, blog posts, bibliographies). The website will not have any interactive or personalized features. No data will be collected from or about any visitor to the site. The website will be hosted in our own enterprise-class data center. Technical parameters of the final design, including visual layout and settings, will be documented to facilitate future technical support.
