Overview: We are a forward-thinking, multi-brand law firm seeking a Fractional Chief Digital Marketing Officer (CDMO) to provide strategic leadership and oversight across our digital marketing initiatives. This role is ideal for a high-level consultant who can assess, optimize, and guide both strategy and personnel performance as we elevate our digital footprint. The role is first an assessment and recommendation, and then, if it makes sense and there is mutual interest, discuss a fractional part-time Chief Digital Marketing Officer position on an ongoing basis. Current Digital Marketing Structure (also attached): In-House: 1 full-time Digital Marketing Manager External Freelancers (Independent): -SEO -SEM (Google AdWords/LSAs) -Website Design & Management -Social Media Management We are seeking strategic leadership to unify these efforts, evaluate team performance, and drive measurable growth across both brands. Brands You’ll Support: -DWI TEAM – A brand dedicated to defending DWI-related cases across New York (minus NYC and Long Island). -NAVE TEAM – A broader legal brand handling diverse practice areas with a client-first focus, mainly with a focus in Central (Syracuse) and Eastern NY (Albany) Primary Responsibilities: -Serve as fractional CMO, guiding our digital marketing direction at the executive level. -Audit SEO and SEM strategy and execution across both brands to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities. -Shadow our in-house Digital Marketing Manager during vendor and internal meetings to: 1.) Evaluate the structure, flow, and effectiveness of Army Members (3rd Party team members) 2.) Assess the Digital Marketing Manager’s ability to manage and execute a cohesive digital strategy. 3.) Recommend immediate and long-term improvements to optimize our digital marketing ROI. 4.) Suggest performance metrics and accountability systems to ensure consistent execution and reporting. Key Deliverables: -Comprehensive SEO/SEM Performance Audit -Include strategy critique, execution gaps, and optimization roadmap. -Personnel Evaluation Report -Assess the current Digital Marketing Manager’s performance, fit, and growth potential. -Strategic Recommendations & Execution Plan After the initial Assessment, we could discuss continuing the relationship on an ongoing basis, part-time, in a strategic position to provide: -Define and Lead the Digital Marketing Stratagy -Performance Tracking and Optimizations -Drive Innovation and Awareness. Continue in a leadership role, providing monthly/quarterly strategic reviews and team guidance. -If needed, assist in identifying and onboarding a new Digital Marketing Manager Ideal Candidate Profile: -10+ years in digital marketing leadership, ideally with fractional CMO or CDMO experience. -Demonstrated success in optimizing SEO/SEM for B2C brands (legal industry experience is a strong plus). -Experience managing or evaluating internal marketing personnel and external vendors. -Skilled at building accountability structures, performance metrics, and integrated digital strategies. -Strategic thinker with a hands-on, results-driven mindset. Engagement Type: -Fractional/Consulting (5–15 hours/month to start), with flexibility based on needs. -Initial scope will focus on audit and team assessment, with potential for an ongoing advisory role. This person will work exclusively with the Digital Marketing Manager and the CEO. While the Fractional CDMO may participate in meetings to assess the Army members' skills and determine fit, their day-to-day collaboration and communication will be limited to the Digital Marketing Manager and CEO only.
