**Job Description: Sales Development Representative (SDR)** We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our dynamic team, focusing on the K-12 education sector. This role presents an exciting short-term opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is eager to make a meaningful impact in the field of education by driving engagement with schools and educational institutions. As an SDR, your primary responsibilities will revolve around conducting cold outreach through phone calls and emails to key decision-makers within various educational organizations. Your goal will be to generate high-quality leads and set up discovery calls for our team to further discuss our innovative solutions designed to enhance educational experiences. You will play a crucial role in building relationships with educators and administrators, understanding their needs, and effectively communicating the value of our offerings. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in sales, particularly in a B2B environment, and will have a genuine passion for the education industry. Candidate must be willing to understand the ALEE brand and speak knowledgeably on the team's behalf. EdTech Experience is a plus. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough research to identify potential leads and decision-makers within schools and educational institutions and/or use research provided by the team - Initiate cold calls and send targeted emails to introduce our solutions and generate interest. - Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospects by utilizing various outreach strategies and tools. - Qualify leads through effective communication, listening skills, and by addressing any objections that may arise during conversations. - Schedule appointments for the team with qualified leads to facilitate further discussions about our offerings. - Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment on messaging and strategy. - Keep detailed records of outreach activities and maintain an organized database of leads using our CRM system. - Stay informed about trends and developments in the K-12 education sector to better understand the needs of our clients and enhance your outreach efforts. Qualifications: - Previous experience in sales, preferably in an EdTech B2B role, with a focus on lead generation. - A strong interest in and commitment to the education sector, with the ability to articulate its value to potential clients. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage in conversations with decision-makers. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate objections with professionalism and tact. - Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. - Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage leads and track outreach efforts. - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
