Job Overview: I’m looking to hire an experienced bag designer to support the professional development of a unique, function-driven bag designed for parents with young children. This product falls within the diaper/daycare bag category but includes innovative and proprietary features that address common pain points for caregivers. Due to the nature of the design, an NDA will be required before full details are shared. What I’ve Done So Far: • I’ve designed the concept and overall structure of the bag • I’m building an initial mock prototype for internal use and form-factor testing • I’ve identified the target audience, use case, and functional goals • Branding and business setup is already underway What I Need From You: • Professional guidance on design refinement and manufacturing feasibility • Creation of a detailed tech pack including measurements, materials, trims, hardware, stitching details, construction notes, and BOM (bill of materials) • CAD files and/or 3D renderings (if applicable) for factory and marketing use • Recommendations for suitable materials and suppliers • Coordination or consultation support for building a professional prototype suitable for functionality testing and initial manufacturing quotes • Optional: sourcing support or introductions to reliable bag manufacturers (especially in the U.S. or abroad) Ideal Candidate: • Has experience designing bags, backpacks, or diaper bags (portfolio samples required) • Familiar with soft goods manufacturing and factory-ready tech packs • Comfortable signing an NDA and working on pre-patent confidential products • Detail-oriented and communicative, with a collaborative approach Timeline: Open to discussion, but ideally looking for completion of the tech pack and professional prototype within 4–8 weeks.
