Our Charleston area restaurant group is looking for a high-energy, proactive Part-Time Recruiter to help us find, qualify, and hire rockstar candidates who align with our growing company culture and core values. We don’t just want résumés — we want people who fit. That means we’re looking for someone who knows how to hustle on platforms like Indeed, local Facebook groups, Instagram, community boards, and Google, and who can get our job postings seen by the right people. Once applications come in, we want speed and discernment. You’ll quickly triage candidates, conduct virtual video screenings, and use our ideal employee avatars and behavioral interview questions to evaluate if they align with our core values: Service Teamwork Enthusiasm Excellence Leveling Up Key Responsibilities: Actively source and post jobs across various platforms (Indeed, Instagram, Facebook, local job boards, etc.) Promote job openings in local community groups, pages, and social channels Triage incoming applications daily and respond quickly Conduct virtual screenings and short interviews using Steel City Pizza’s behavioral questions and cultural fit framework Evaluate candidates against our custom avatars and STEEL core values Coordinate next steps with store managers and our HR lead Provide weekly updates and analytics on hiring funnel performance Who You Are: You’ve recruited in the hospitality or retail industry before (bonus if you’ve worked in restaurants!) You’re creative, resourceful, and fast — you know how to get attention and action online You understand the value of cultural fit and aren’t afraid to ask the real questions You’re organized and can manage a steady flow of applicants with clear communication You believe in energy, great service, and building a winning team culture Hours & Commitment: 10–15 hours/week to start, with flexibility depending on hiring season and urgency Most work can be done remotely, though understanding of U.S. Southeast culture and workforce is a plus To Apply: Please respond with: A quick note on why this role speaks to you One or two social platforms or recruiting strategies you’ve had success with in the past A short video (optional but encouraged!) introducing yourself and your approach to screening for culture fit
